Consistency...

Well, at least i'm consistent!
It's been almost 4 years since my last blog post.

Maybe I should have waited the extra two months?
Nah... no time like the present, eh?
...Plus I'm clearly procrastinating on the actual work i need to do.

Didn't really have anything planned to say, so...
...I'll just leave it at the biggest milestone for me in the last week...

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful wife!

...Here's to 12 more years of wedded bliss!

I love you more, every day.

Busy, busy building websites

Just as busy as ever these days... working on several websites right now.

Here is the latest, hot off the presses...

Carpet Cleaning Co. "Carpet and Flood Patrol" of El Cajon:
www.eastcountycarpetcleaning.com

If you need your carpets cleaned anywhere in San Diego, give Rigo a call.  He and his crew are dependable, honest, and they really know what they're doing.  Make sure to tell him that CJ sent you!

Thanks for reading!
Talk to you again soon.

Two Years Later

It's been almost two years since my last post.

Every time I've thought about writing something new, I've started to think about how exactly I would fill you in on the details. At this point, I think it would just take too long. (That's probably the reason it's taken so long to post.)

So tonight, I'll conquer the fears by doing something in spite of it.

Although I haven't ever come here to write about it, I have certainly spent a lot of time telling you all the stories in my mind.

For now, let's suffice it to say: There's been pain and pleasure, laughter and tears, and I hope we're all a little stronger and wiser in the end.

Until next time, dear reader...

...Let's try not to wait so long, huh?

She's here!

It's been a very long day, but I am happy to report that Kenna has arrived!

It was a pretty rough trip, but Mom and baby are doing fine.

Vital Stats for Kenna Marie Gilbert:
Born 07-27-07 @ 5:23p; 7 lbs, 13 oz; 20 in long.

More pictures are available at theCaden.com.

And I am going to bed! Good night.

One Week Countdown

I probably should have been posting more about this all along, but... you know, life can get pretty busy sometimes. Anyway...

The final countdown has begun: Our new baby girl has been scheduled for arrival next Friday, July 27.
(07-27-07 - We like that! And Caden's B-day is Sep 27, so I'm loving the easy-to-remember dates!)

We're very busy getting things ready... cleaning, packing Em for the hospital, setting up the crib and room, etc. Not to mention, I'm still trying to do as much website work as I can now because I imagine I won't have much time in the week or two afterwards!

Because we have family and friends all across the country, I've just added a little PayPal donation button to my website (and the sidebar). I thank you in advance for any amount that you're able to give! Your gift is very appreciated.

I promise to post all the vital stats, as well as some pics, as soon as I can.
(Note to self: Buy tapes for video camera tomorrow!)

Thank you for all your prayers and support. I will keep you posted.

Meanwhile, I'm sure there's more for me to do. (Emily is a great list-maker!) I better go check to see what's next....

I'm back! ...Mostly

Yes, I realize you didn't know I was gone...

At the end of April, I started getting the dreaded 'blue screen' errors in Windows. Recognizing this as a sign of imminent doom, I began to back-up my files! Within a day, my computer was completely crashed. (It would reboot continuously, freeze, or not boot at all.)

A very long story, short: I spent hours on the phone with tech support and on hold. I was eventually able to get to a place where I could save all my important files. (Thank you, Jesus!) After reformatting and reinstalling Windows several times, I was granted a new motherboard. It took over a week for the local tech service company to contact me (and only after much harassment from me!), but eventually I got my part!

Programs were installed. Files were transferred. Settings and various utilities have been tweaked and configured.

Finally, after many headaches, my system is restored!

There will still be odds and ends to fix as I get back to business, but all-in-all... I'm back!

Thank you to all my clients and friends, who have been so patient during this time! I promise to answer every e-mail and message that I have not yet.

For now, back to work... Boy, I've got a lot to do!
